D-BLOCK HOOPS AAU BASKETBALL

2025-26 Fall/Winter Season

Parent and Player Agreement

  • Playing Time- Coaches will make all and final decisions on playing time. Parents and players need to understand that by participating in this Season, they will accept any playing time choices that are made by coaches. Child will be placed in positions based on coach's belief of best fit. Players and Parents must understand that in some rare cases a child may get very little to no playing time depending on game situation. Playing time is dictated by player’s effort, attitude & attendance. We will not reward players that don’t have the best interest of the team in mind at all times.
  • Practices- Parents and players understand they need to be at practices a few minutes early to be prepared to start at practice time. Each player should bring a ball and designated basketball shoes for practices and games. An absence from practices or games can affect playing time. Players need to be on time!
  • Uniforms- Players must only wear uniforms to league games and tournaments. Any player who is missing a piece of their uniform at time of game may not be able to play in that game.
  • Expectations of Parents- Be supportive of the coaches & all other players; exhibiting a positive attitude around the players & other parents, refrain from coaching from the stands/sidelines at practice & games. This is the job of the coaches, not their parents. Cheer as you wish, but please do not coach them from the stands. Encourage your child to communicate any concerns or questions directly with their coach. This will help the coach understand & communicate directly with the player vs. through a 3rd party. Communicate with the coach in appropriate ways; discuss your concerns off the court & in private. Practice the “24 Hour Rule”: wait 24 hours to pass before contacting the coach regarding something; it will allow time to think about the situation before addressing, taking the emotion out of it.
